PRGF technology in maxillary sinus lift

BTI has published in the Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research journal, its second article regarding the application of PRGF in maxillary sinus lift.

This paper describes five bilateral cases comparing the effects of PRGF combined with bovine anorganic bone in one side and only the biomaterial in the contralateral side. A reduction in the inflammation and pain in the group treated with PRGF is demonstrated. In addition, this group also has the highest percentage of newly formed bone and angiogenesis increase.

BTI publishes a review article in Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews journal

BTI has published a review article in the prestigious "Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews” journal gathering all the advances made through the last 10 years in the use of Plasma Rich in Growth Factors technique.

The PRGF Technology also called Endoret (in fact, this is the first international prestigious article published about this concept), consists on obtaining and use of biologically active proteins and biomaterials of the patient, which has become a revolution in healing and tissue regeneration.

This technology (PRGF-Endoret) is a clear example of the personalized medicine that is already being used in several medical areas such as oral implantology, ulcers treatment, traumatology, sports medicine and tissue engineering among others.

Eduardo Anitua Foundation begins its activity with the First International Symposium on Translational Medicine

Eduardo Anitua Foundation began its activity. It is a non profit organization with the purpose of promoting, boosting and developing the scientific research and its dissemination..
The foundation will research lines with a strong social character and promote To boost Health Care Activities so that disadvantaged groups can be treated with the latest advances in biomedicine.

Among others, it will promote biomedical research applied to regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, where, through the development he has achieved with plasma rich in growth factors after nearly 15 years of research, occupies a pioneering and very relevant international position in this field.
The other pillars on which the activity of the Eduardo Anitua Foundation is settled are research, dissemination of scientific knowledge and specialized training in the bioscience field.

The presentation of the Eduardo Anitua Foundation coincided with the introduction of its first activities of science dissemination and pioneering statewide, the First International Symposium on Translational Regenerative Medicine that took place last October 31 in Vitoria. The event, which comes with a biennial periodicity, was opened by Dr. Rafael Bengoa, Minister of Health and Consumption of the Basque Government, and counted with speakers of the highest international level who shared their research and clinical experiences in the fields of regenerative medicine, tissue engineering and stem cells.
